I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day, I did!!  Got to spend the day with my family and friends!!!  Thank you to all the Brave men and women who risk their lives everyday for our Country!!

This Time of year!!!

Well I have to tell you, I really love this time of year!!!  Memorial day, BBQ's, Summer on the horizon, school getting out, preparing the yard for all the summer fun ahead...and as much as I love all this it's bitter sweet because it takes me away from one of my other loves...Crafting!!!  I mean I guess planting all my plants outside is kinda like crafting but not as fun, more a necessity!!  In my last post I told you all that I would be sharing all the great things that I got at the Scrapbook Expo!  I just want to let you know that I have not forgotten I just have not had any time to get into my craft room!!!  But TONIGHT I will be making a video to share with all of you!  I love blogging and sharing my passion for crafting so I am just going to have to put everything else to the side for a little while and just have some fun!!!  So until later, Happy Craftin!!

"Scrapbook Expo 2011"

     Hello everyone!!  Hope you all had wonderful Sunday and being that I am posting this on Sunday night, 5/22/11, I guess we all survived Judgement Day!!!! 

     I want to share some photo's of this past weekend's Scrapbook Expo 2011 that was held at the Somerset Exhibit Center in Jew Jersey.  My daughter and I have been waiting for months for this Expo to come and of course we had a great time!!  We did lots of shopping and got some really great products at fantastic prices!!  I will post a bunch of photo's of all the great products later on and will have tutorials on how to use some of them!  We also were able to meet lots of fellow Scrapbooker's/crafters!!  There were many different retailers at the Expo like my local Scrapbook Store here in Jersey the "Scrappers Cove", "The original Scrap Box", "StoryTellers Club", "Quick Quotes" and so many more!!  It was a little overwhelming at first but we got into the groove really quick!!!  We walked the Expo at least 4-5 times total!!! 

     The highlight of our day, without any doubt, occured when we met Megan Gravener from Above Rubies Studio and also of Club Ruby Designers!!!  What a genuinely nice person!!  She is soo cute and really funny!!  It was an absolute pleasure hanging out with her, talking and watching her Demo of the totally awesome Teresa Collins Stamp Maker at "TheRubber Cafe" booth.  We had a really great chat and I told her that I wished that I could hang out with her some time to learn some new things of the blogging/crafting world, let's face it she has been doing this for a while, longer than me and has now made it a full time job and bussiness, it would be so great to learn from a pro and then to my surprise, would you believe it, she invited me and my family to her house to hang out.  I almost fell over in excitement and my daughter, well she did not stop talking about it for hours!!  "When can we go??  Are we gonna go??  I can't wait to go!!"  So I told Megan that I would try to get my husband to take a few days off to watch the kids so that I could go but she said no worries, bring the kids, they could play with her kids while we crafted!!!  I really cannot wait to set something up with her, it is going to be so much fun!!!  So please, take a few minutes and go over to Megan's site (just click on this link Above Rubies Studio) and check her out, she has ton's of tutorials that are very helpful along with tons of projects that she has made.

Srapbook Expo!!

Well, I am soooo excited for this weekend!!  My daughter and I are attending the Scrapbook Expo which is being held today and tomorrow at the Somerset NJ Convention Center!!  There will be tons of great products, classes and some of our blogging friends too!!  I know that Meagan Gravener of Above Rubies Studio will be there at the Photocentric Booth, can't wait to meet her!!  I will post pic's once we get back!!  So if you are in the Central Jersey area and don't have anything to do today or tomorrow, hop on over to the Expo at the Garden State Exhibit Center 50 Atrium Drive, Somerset, NJ  08873, learn some new things, buy great products, meet new people and have ton's of fun!!  Hope to see you there!!  Happy Craftin all!!

It's Monday!!!

Hello to everyone, hope you all had a great weekend!!  I just had a few minutes to surf the blogs that I follow, only got to visit a few and wanted to share a giveaway with you.  Lisa over at A Mermaid's Crafts is having a great giveaway.  Hop on over to her blog and check it out.
On a personal note, my patio is finished as is the little deck to the pool!!  I will take a few pic's of it today when the weather clears up a bit.  It's been soo yucky here, lots of rain!!  I hope that I can get back into the swing of things again now that I don't have to help my husband out back!!  I hate when I don't get to play with my stuff!!  I have sent all the kids off to school and the hubby is off doing estimates so I will throw in a load of laundry and off to my craft room I go!!!  I will see you all later, until then Happy Craftin!!

Whewwww...So busy!!

I'm sorry that I have not posted anything in a few days but I have bveen sooooo busy here at home.  For Mothers Day my husband suprised me with a new patio for my backyard so I have been running around picking pavers and helping him with whatever I can, plus he is building me a little deck to the pool!!  Then I am doing a neighborhood garage sale this Sat. ( 5/14 ) and I have been gathering all the things that I no longer want or need!!!    I will post pic's when I have them of the finished project!!  Miss you and will be back very soon!!  Thank you for being patient!!  Until then Happy Craftin to all.

Now, yesterday I promised some pic's of the Mothers day card that I made for the women in my life ( Mom, Mother-in-law, sister and sister-in-law )  Check out the simple yet elegant cards made using the Forever Young cart.  I used Stamping Up confetti paper and some other scraps I had from another project.  the ribbon is also from Stanmping Up as is the ink.  The stamps I used are from A. C. Moore from the seasonal dollar bin.

National Scrapbook Day!!

"Happy Birthday"

On this day, 4 years ago, God blessed my husband and I with our 3rd child JohnPaul.  On this day, we want to wish him a very Happy Birthday and tell him that we are soo happy to have him in our lives.  The last 4 years have not always been easy, with him having developmental delays along with Hypotonia and joint weakness topped with extreme baby Exiema, then now Allergies!!  It seems as though it is always something else that this beautiful-happy-extremely smart boy has to contend with!!  It doesn't seem fair!!  But even with all of the bumps in the road, all the thearapy sessions and doctors appointments, we've never felt that it is a burden or too much to handle, in fact it is a joy to give you every chance at normalcy and we would do anything for our beautiful boy!  To watch him grow and get stronger everyday, to see all of his accomplishments brings sooo much joy to our lives and we would not have it any other way.  His brother and sister never thought that they could love something or someone soooo much, but they do and they show it everyday!  They have also been a great help in raising our little buggy!!!  So to my wonderful little buggy, Mommy and Daddy, sissy and brother love you very much and wish you the very best Birthday ever!!
